Hello and thanks for taking a look at Modern Mitzvahs! We are Tracy Levy and Julie Jacobs, the “dynamic duo” behind Modern Mitzvahs. We are two savvy ladies who have just what it takes to pull off perfect Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. So much so, that over the past few years we have been the go-to gals for referrals and recommendations from family, friends, and friends of friends.

Sitting on the sidelines at our kids’ soccer games together for years gave us a lot of time to brainstorm about how to best put our true passion for Bar and Bat Mitzvah event planning into action. The result was the launch of Modern Mitzvahs.

 

TRACY LEVY

The Levy family has been in the floral industry for over 35 years. Needless to say, Tracy knows a thing or two about floral design and theme décor for important events. She is very creative and doesn’t settle for anything less than perfection.

Tracy comes from a retail background. She worked in management for Nordstrom for a number of years. Tracy was a part of the buying team that handled purchasing for many Nordstrom stores in the Southern California region. This experience shows in her ability to build relationships with vendors and clients. When you hire Tracy to manage your Bar or Bat Mitzvah event, you can rest assured that she will work within your budget and timeline to create the absolute best possible experience. Her top priorities are providing you with great service and ensuring your complete satisfaction.

One thing you’ll notice about Tracy is that she is a great listener. She has a warm, relaxing style about her and you’ll feel like you’ll want her honest opinion on just about every aspect of your event.

 

JULIE JACOBS

For over a decade, Julie planned corporate events for Johnson & Johnson, including venue selection, catering options, audio/video set-up, and entertainment for hundreds of doctors and staff. You’ll want her in your corner when it comes to selecting and negotiating with the vendors you will need for your event.

Julie was also a top sales representative at Nordstrom, where she was professionally trained to put client satisfaction above all else. That explains why she can multi-task without breaking a sweat while catering to the individual needs of different personalities.
