Modern Mitzvahs

Emma’s Bat Mitzvah

Emma wanted her celebration to be unique, full of entertainment, dancing and of course tons of sweet treats. Together we came up with the idea of a vintage carnival theme. With its beautiful outdoor grounds and white party tent, The Santa Luz Club was the perfect venue for this event.

Upon arrival, the kids headed straight to the Big Top for dancing and games with the DJ. Meanwhile, the adults enjoyed mingling on the patio where they were greeted with flutes of champagne topped with puffs of pink cotton candy. Carnival entrance tickets/seating assignments were beautifully displayed on two large ornate Ferris Wheels.

At the conclusion of the cocktail hour, the adults joined the kids inside the tent. Here the tables were beautifully set with pink and white linens and topped with large colorful floral arrangements. Tassels of gold and pink along with white market lights were hung from above to create a carnival feel. The lounge area included pink and white furniture, custom carnival themed pillows and Emma’s name in giant Marquee lights.

It wouldn’t be a carnival without a large selection of treats. Ours included a cotton candy cart, donut station, vintage popcorn stand and a brightly colored candy bar. Other fun activities included drawings by a professional caricature artist, fortune telling from Zoltar and trying their luck at the oversized LED Plinko game. One of the highlights of the evening was stepping inside the old school camper /photo booth that was parked right outside the tent.

As you browse through the pictures, it is clear to see that Emma had the time of her life. With all the activities, eating and dancing, it truly was a night to remember.
